I’ve had the privilege of spending a lot of quality in-person time with people who have what I consider to be great leadership qualities.
And I’ve noticed a funny thing:
Just being around great people makes you “catch” their greatest qualities.
Leadership qualities, just like less desirable qualities, are contagious:
- When you hang out with kind people, it’s easier for you to be gentler in your interactions.
- When you spend time around people who act like life is a miracle, it’s easier to experience joy.
- When you work with fearless people, it’s easier for you to have the courage to be your boldest self.
The company we keep doesn't just influence us—it defines us.
How you show up and impact in the world has everything to do with the best and worst qualities of the people around you.
So, choose your circle, and qualities, carefully.
