One of the funniest things I often say, and my friends find amusing, is this:
“You might think you're an introvert, but maybe you just haven't found your people.”
A lot of us assume that we are a certain way, or that the circle we find ourselves in is as good as it gets. But let's be real; you have an untapped well of joy and potential within you.
Finding the right people is like turning on a switch. When you're with them, you realize you've had this previously untapped capacity for joy, for flow, for genuine connection. And you love their company so much that, suddenly, you're up way past your bedtime just because the energy is so magnetic.
Look, life's brief. Waking up to the fact that you're in the wrong crowd can be jarring. It's tough. You've invested time and emotion into these relationships, and thinking of stepping away feels like standing on the edge of a cliff. But let me tell you something:
You've got one life to live. And science increasingly show thats there are few things that are more important than finding your tribe. (You will be happier and literally live longer!)
When you find those people who see the superhero in you, who get you at a molecular level, it's like a revelation. Being around them might even make you forget you ever considered yourself an introvert. So, if you're willing to be authentic, to put your heart where your mouth is, and to travel where your people might be, you'll find them.
You'll find the people who make you feel like being you is the best thing you could ever be. And that, my friends, is a slice of heaven.
