Sometimes I reflect on what I'm genuinely looking forward to in life. It's not about a specific house or even a family for me. I find that a lot of what I aspire to boils down to cultivating a greater sense of gratitude daily.
I find gratitude to be a key component in creating a peaceful mindset. It’s not just saying, “Hey, peace is good, let’s aim for that.” No, it’s about acknowledging that gratitude is a controllable factor that significantly contributes to inner peace.
Here's the thing: people enjoy being around grateful individuals. On the flip side, nobody wants to spend time with someone who’s always complaining, always dissatisfied. Those people drain the energy right out of you. With them, you'll never do enough to make them happy.
So yes, I aim to accomplish great things in life, but not because achieving them will bring me happiness or peace. Those are states of mind I aim to cultivate independently through gratitude. That’s my focus, my forward momentum.
