I was going to write a piece about not quitting, and as I pondered the idea, I realized something essential. Sure, sometimes you may want to quit. Sometimes you're wrong about the path you've chosen or the job you've taken on. It's natural to assess a situation and decide, "This isn't right for me." But that's different from quitting on yourself.
What you should never quit on is yourself and your momentum, your belief in yourself, your conviction that you will do great things. Just because you find that something isn't right for you doesn't mean you stop charging forward.
If there's any constant in your life, it's yourself. If you don't believe in yourself, if you don't keep your own momentum, no one else will. No one's going to drag you along to the future of greatness. It's a choice you have to make.
You must be inspiring to yourself. Look in the mirror and think, "Wow, how am I so inspiring?" That's the only way you're going to inspire others. You can't quit on yourself just because something didn't work out. That doesn't mean you slow down in the actualization of your incredible potential.
I believe in being bullish on myself. I double down on myself, triple down on myself, and go all out on myself. It's a mindset that keeps me moving forward, no matter what obstacles or missteps I encounter along the way.
I know that I have a purpose, and I trust in my ability to achieve it. I've learned to recognize when something isn't right for me, but I never let that deter me from my broader goals and dreams. Instead, I take it as a lesson, a moment of growth, and continue to push forward with relentless optimism and faith in myself.
Quitting on a particular path or decision is sometimes necessary, but quitting on myself? That's something I will never do. I believe in my potential, and I'm committed to nurturing it, developing it, and unleashing it. I am my greatest asset, and I will never stop investing in myself. It's a promise I've made to myself, and it's a promise I intend to keep.
