I’ve been reflecting on the profound power of art, and how it can be harnessed as a vessel for change, a Trojan horse of sorts. Art, be it music, fashion, or even large-scale events like festivals, has a uniquely magnetic ability to pull people in, captivating them, often before they're even consciously aware of what's happening.
When I look at successful figures like Beyonce, Jay Z, and P Diddy, I can't help but notice their knack for using their craft to coopt the language of light to draw people into lifestyles of vice. These artists make their work resonate by maintaining a level of quality that is admirable even if you're value-neutral.
Essentially, they're constructing Trojan horses for the dark, but what if we took this same principle and applied it for the light instead? Why can't we do the same but towards a more virtuous goal?
Imagine creating art so compelling, so engaging, that it draws people in with its undeniable appeal. We need to make music that's inherently enjoyable, fashion that's unquestionably beautiful, and TV shows that entertain in spite of, or maybe because of, their meaningful moral messages.
We need leaders who are fit, attractive, and also virtuous, guiding us towards the light. If we want to change the world, we need to make it cool to do so. We need to make people want to be part of this movement before they even fully understand what they're signing up for.
Darkness has been using Trojan horses for its purpose, but what about us?
The time has come for us to utilize this same technique, to create Trojan horses for the light. We're not merely creating art for art's sake, but we're strategically building platforms that carry important messages, that represent the values we stand for, and doing so in a way that feels engaging, fun, and even trendy.
We're not just making statements, we're making art, and this art serves as our Trojan horse, filled with the light of truth and goodness. It's about more than just expression—it's about making a difference, and that's the ultimate goal. This is our mission: to create Trojan horses for the light.
