I am going to initiate an experiment that focuses on practicing an idea that first inspired me several years ago through the Slackbot HeyTaco: social gratitude (see: ).
This is not just about feeling and recognizing gratitude for others, but actively communicating that you are thankful to them. Therefore, I will begin to write down daily whom I am grateful for, at least once a day.
A useful prompt to consider might be, "Has anyone done anything that has contributed to my well-being or flourishing?"
In the future, I might extend my gratitude to those who are not only concerned with my personal flourishing but also the well-being and success of a broader community or the world at large.
The process of documenting and socially sharing this gratitude will most likely be conducted through a table in Notion that relates to my personal relationship management, linked to service that trigger an email.
